To Play Us Out

Last year in English, our teacher made us write a review of some retarded half-wit production of “The Taming of the Shrew.”  That experience pretty much turned me off to reviews altogether.  So, with great trepidation, I say this — if you have some spare time, do yourself a favor and watch the pilot of Parks and Recreation.   Co-created and written by former Office and FireJoeMorgan.com guy Michael Schur, it definitely has Office-like undertones.  It’s hard to judge a show after just one episode, as we keep in mind that both The Office and 30 Rock took a couple of seasons to get off the ground.  But if it’s any indication, the Parks pilot was much better than that of 30 Rock, and better than the entire first season of The Office.  So give it a try.  For me.
