To Play Us Out

Fox News is Unhealthy

Who can blame the guy?  I would rather pass out than listen to Glenn Beck’s shit.

UPDATE: Beck offered up the following quote later in the show:

“Everyone thought it was part of the show because this show, you never know what to expect…” he added. “He apologizes, and I’m like ‘Are you kidding me, the ratings will be through the roof!’”

I guess that’s true, you never know what to expect with good old Glenn Beck.  I mean after you cry on national TV for no apparent reason, is having a guest faint really that far-fetched?  But at least the ratings will be great!  And that, of course, is all that really matters.

Seriously, when we named this blog in honor of Bill O’Reilly’s outrageous behavior, we did so because we thought there would never be anyone as insane as him.  But Beck is certainly making a run at it.  He’s like Mickey Rourke and O’Reilly is like Sean Penn.  Beck is giving his best performance, and it’s great to see, and you almost want to give him the honor of being the most ridiculous person on Fox News.  But then you step back and realize — this is Bill Fucking O’Reilly we’re talking about here.  There is no one, and I mean no one, better than him at doing what he does.  And by “doing what he does” I mean being bat-shit crazy.

    “…Gone.” *collapses*
    “Are you ok?!”

I really would have loved it if he had pulled a Hamlet, and stayed conscious long enough to say “No, I’m not fucking ok. I’m fainting, which is generally considered to be a BAD THING.”
